Look for Cracks in the Pump Or Lines
Check the oil and water containers against suspicious stains or cracks. If the oil has bubbles in it, or has turned white, most definitively there is water leaking to the oil tank. Check the seals and if necessary, change them to avoid a major breakdown.
Checkout the wiring, gauges and switches.
Check that the on/off switch is in good conditions and that it doesn’t get stuck or broken. A faulty switch or gauge can render the whole machine useless and even if it is relatively easy to change, it will require a hunt for that particular piece of hardware.
Checkout the Pump
The pump is the most important part of the pressure washer. It is the heart of the pressure washer and even though from a first glance it is hard to tell if it is in a good condition, it is a good idea to carefully observe if the water pressure is steady and doesn’t change.
