Maintenance Checklist (30 Minutes Monthly)

Every Time Before Use: Check oil level (should reach full line). Check fuel (older than 30 days oxidizes). Check spark plug (fouled = replace).

Every Month: Clean air filter (clogged restricts airflow). Inspect spark plug electrodes (gap should be 0.028-0.032 inches). Check unloader valve (should click smoothly). Check pump inlet screen (clean if clogged).

Every Season (Before Storage): Drain fuel completely or fill with fuel stabilizer. Run engine 10 minutes on fresh fuel. Change engine oil. Inspect pump shaft seal (leaking oil = seal failing, replace for $150-200). Wrap fuel line in electrical tape.
