How do I choose the right nozzle orifice size?

Orifice size must match your pump GPM. Too small restricts flow and can damage your pump. Too large drops pressure at the gun. Nozzle charts cross-reference GPM and desired PSI to give you the correct orifice number.

Why is my turbo nozzle not spinning?

A turbo nozzle stops spinning when the internal rotor or bearings wear out. Often a rebuild kit with new seals and rotor fixes the problem for a fraction of replacement cost.

What do the nozzle tip colors mean?

Red is 0° (pencil jet, maximum impact), yellow is 15° (heavy stripping), green is 25° (general cleaning), white is 40° (gentle wash), and black is 65° (chemical application with downstream injector).

Should I use stainless steel or brass nozzles?

Brass tips are fine for standard pressure washing. Stainless steel lasts longer when running chemicals or abrasive water, and is worth the upgrade for high-hour operations.

How often should I replace nozzle tips?

Replace tips when the orifice wears oversized - you will notice wider spray and lower pressure. Heavy-use contractors replace quick-connect tips every 2-3 months. Stainless lasts significantly longer.
