AR Pump Parts

Most AR pumps that land on our counter do not need replacing. They need a seal kit, a set of pistons, or a valve, and they go back to work for a tenth of the price of a new pump. Sun Brite Supply carries genuine Annovi Reverberi pump parts for RMV, RMW, XMV, RRV, RC, SJV, and XW series pumps. Read us the model plate over the phone at 301-519-9274 and we will match the exact kit before you order the wrong one.

How to Find the Right AR Pump Parts

Everything starts with the model plate. It is a small metal tag or decal on the pump crankcase, and the model string on it tells the whole story. Take RMW2.2G24D as an example. RMW is the series, 2.2G is the flow in gallons per minute, 24 is the pressure in hundreds of PSI, and the last letter is the shaft code. D means direct drive for a gas engine, E means electric motor, N means solid shaft. Parts interchange within a series but almost never across series. An RMW water seal kit will not fit an XMV, even though the two pumps look alike from the outside. If the plate is worn off, count the bolt pattern on the manifold and measure the piston diameter, or just bring the pump in.

Water Seals, Oil Seals, and Pistons: What Actually Wears

WATER END manifold, valves, water seals PISTONS ceramic plungers ride through both seal sets OIL END crankcase, oil seals, bearings Drips under the manifold = water seals Scored pistons = new seals fail fast Milky oil or shaft leak = oil seals

Water seals live in the manifold and take the full pressure load. Heat is what kills them. Run the pump dry, feed it hot water it was not rated for, or let it sit in bypass too long and the seals harden and start weeping. Oil seals sit at the other end and keep crankcase oil where it belongs. When they fail you get oil on the shaft or, worse, water sneaking into the crankcase and turning the oil milky. The ceramic pistons ride through both sets. If a piston is scored or chipped, it will chew up fresh seals in weeks, which is why we tell people to inspect pistons every time the manifold comes off. Replacing seals on scored pistons is throwing money away.

From the Field

The parts people buy from us tell the real failure story. The $9 RMW water seal kit outsells everything else in this category because axial RMW pumps on box-store machines cook their seals long before the rest of the pump wears out. A twenty minute rebuild saves a $300 pump. The support ring kits are the other tell. Seals extrude past their seats when a pump runs hot in bypass, so if you keep eating seals, fix the habit, not just the part. Set the machine down and let go of the trigger for more than a minute? Shut it off. And change the crankcase oil every 50 hours with real pump oil. Milky oil caught early is a seal job. Milky oil ignored is a crankshaft.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I identify my AR pump model?

Find the metal tag or decal on the crankcase. The model string, like RMW2.2G24D, gives you the series, GPM, PSI in hundreds, and shaft type. If the tag is gone, measure the piston diameter and count the manifold bolts, or bring the pump to the counter.

What do the letters D, E, and N mean on AR pumps?

They are shaft codes. D is a hollow shaft for direct mount on a gas engine, E is a hollow shaft for an electric motor, and N is a solid shaft for pulley or belt setups. The code changes which pump you have, not which seal kit you need.

What is the difference between water seals and oil seals?

Water seals sit in the manifold and hold spray pressure. Oil seals sit at the crankcase and keep oil in and water out. They fail differently. Water seals drip under the manifold. Oil seals leak at the shaft or let the oil turn milky.

Why is my pump oil milky or white?

Water is getting past the low pressure seals into the crankcase. Change the oil right away and reseal the pump soon. Running a pump on milky oil grinds the bearings and turns a $30 fix into a dead pump.

Should I rebuild my AR pump or replace it?

Check the pistons first. Smooth pistons and a good crankcase mean a rebuild, usually $10 to $110 in parts. Scored pistons plus a noisy bottom end push the math toward a new AR pump, especially on small axial units.

What tools do I need to change AR water seals?

Basic hand tools cover most jobs: a socket set for the manifold bolts, a pick for the old seals, and a seal driver or a socket of matching diameter to press new ones in square. Never pry against the ceramic pistons.

Can you match AR parts by phone?

Yes. Call 301-519-9274 and read us the model plate. We cross the AR part numbers for you and tell you honestly if the pump is worth fixing.
