Nozzle Holders
Every crew loses spray tips until they bolt a nozzle holder to something. A pressure washer nozzle holder keeps your quick connect tips on the wand where your thumb can find them, and the smarter versions let you switch from soap to rinse without touching a tip at all. Sun Brite Supply carries J-rods, rollover holders, adjustable holders, and clip-on tip carriers in Gaithersburg, MD. Call 301-519-9274 if you want help picking one to match your gun and flow.
Four Kinds of Nozzle Holder, Four Different Jobs
The name covers several tools that solve different problems, so sort out which problem you have first.
A tip carrier holds spares. Dual and quad couplers ride on the lance with stainless plugs installed, so your 15, 25, 40, and soap tips travel with the gun instead of rattling around a milk crate. The plastic clip-on version does the same job for about five dollars by snapping onto a 1/4 inch wand pipe.
A J-rod puts four tips in service at once. It is a bent stainless rod with four 1/4 inch ports, typically loaded with two soap nozzles and two rinse nozzles for house washing with a downstream injector. Point one pair at the work, and when it is time to rinse, spin the rod half a turn. No tip swap, no walking back to the rig, no dropped nozzle in the shrubs.
A rollover holder does the same trick with two nozzles on a pivoting head. Flip it over to go from high pressure to low pressure soap. It draws chemical through a downstream injector automatically, because the low pressure side drops line pressure enough to open the injector.
An adjustable holder changes the spray angle itself. Twist the body and one nozzle walks from a tight stream to a wide fan, which replaces a pocket full of fixed tips for operators who hate stopping.

From the Field
The five dollar plastic clip holder is quietly one of the most reordered items in this category, mostly bought three at a time after the second tip disappears into a storm drain. Losing one orifice-matched tip costs more than the holder that would have kept it. On the J-rod side, house wash crews tell us the real gain is pace. Soap, dwell, rinse, next side, with the gun never leaving their hands. And keep the brass nozzle unclogger tool in the same pouch, because a holder full of tips means a holder full of small orifices waiting to catch a grain of sand.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a J-rod nozzle holder?
A bent stainless rod with four 1/4 inch nozzle ports, usually loaded with two soap tips and two rinse tips. Rotate the rod to switch between them. House wash crews running downstream injectors use J-rods because the soap to rinse change takes one second and no loose tips.
How does a rollover nozzle holder work?
It carries two nozzles on a pivoting head. Flip it one way for the high pressure tip, the other way for the low pressure soap tip. The low pressure side lets a downstream injector start drawing chemical, so you soap and rinse without swapping anything.
Are adjustable nozzle holders worth it?
If you change spray angles constantly, yes. Twisting the body sweeps the pattern from a narrow stream to a wide fan, replacing several fixed tips. Fixed tips still meter flow more precisely, so keep them for work where the exact orifice size matters.
What do dual and quad couplers actually do?
They are tip caddies. Each socket holds a spare quick connect nozzle on a stainless plug, so your full color set rides on the lance. They store tips only, and the tips do not spray while parked in the coupler.
What thread size do nozzle holders use?
Nearly everything in this collection runs 1/4 inch pipe thread, male or female depending on the model, which matches standard 1/4 inch wands and lances. Check if your lance end is male or female before you order, or call us with the model.
My tip clogged in the holder. Now what?
Pull the tip and clear it from the back with a nozzle unclogger tool, never a torch or a drill bit that can widen the orifice. A widened orifice drops your pressure for good. The brass unclogger tool costs about thirteen dollars and lives in a shirt pocket.
