Swivels

A swivel lets a gun, lance, or hose rotate freely while it stays under pressure. That motion keeps the hose from twisting and kinking, which reduces operator fatigue and makes the hose last longer.

How to Choose

Match the inlet and outlet thread sizes to your gun and hose, usually 1/4 or 3/8 inch. Pick stainless steel for the best corrosion resistance with chemicals, or brass and plated steel for standard water work. The swivel should be rated at or above your machine's maximum PSI and temperature.

Common Applications

  • Between the trigger gun and the hose
  • At the lance or wand connection
  • On surface cleaner and turbo nozzle setups
  • Anywhere a hose tends to twist and kink

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does a swivel go on my setup?
The most common spot is between the trigger gun and the hose. Some operators add a second swivel at the wand for even smoother movement.

Will a swivel reduce my pressure?
A correctly sized swivel has little effect on pressure. Choosing one that matches your line size keeps flow strong.

Are swivels rated for hot water?
Many are. Tell us if you run a hot water machine and we will point you to a swivel rated for the heat.
