Foam Nozzles and Foamers
Chemical that runs off the wall before it works is money on the ground. A foam nozzle whips your house wash or degreaser into a thick lather that hangs on vertical surfaces, so the mix gets its full dwell time. This collection covers Suttner ST-75 foamers, X-Jets, shooter tips, and foam lances. Not sure which one fits your machine? Call 301-519-9274 with your GPM and we will sort it out fast.
Four Ways to Put Foam on a Wall
Contractors apply foamed chemical four different ways, and each tool in this collection belongs to one of them. Pick the method first, then the nozzle.
1. Downstream Injector Plus a Foamer Nozzle
The workhorse setup for house washing. Your injector pulls soap through a venturi after the pump, and a foamer like the Suttner ST-75 agitates the mix through a steel wool pad at the tip. The pad is what builds the lather, and it is a wear item. A fresh pad costs about three dollars and takes a minute to swap. The ST-75 comes with different orifice sizes, so match it to your flow. Smaller orifice for 4 GPM class machines, the 10.0 for big-flow rigs. There are also food grade versions for kitchen exhaust and food plant work where standard parts do not pass inspection.
2. Shooter Tips
SharpShooter and soap shooter nozzles are oversized-orifice tips that drop wand pressure so your downstream injector draws hard, then throw the soap 20 to 30 feet. They are color coded by machine flow: purple for 4 GPM, green for 6, blue for 8, red for 10. Less foam than a true foamer, more reach, and nothing to wear out.
3. X-Jet
The X-Jet skips the injector entirely. It draws straight from a bucket through a pickup hose at the wand and mixes at the nozzle, so strong chemical never touches your pump, hose, or fittings. With the right proportioner installed it can run rich mixes a downstream injector cannot reach, and the original tip throws chemical about 40 feet, high enough for third-story siding from the ground. The color coded proportioner pack lets you dial the ratio per job.
4. Bottle-Fed Foam Lances
A foam cannon or adjustable foam lance carries its own liter bottle. Best for fleet washing, detailing, and small jobs where dragging a bucket makes no sense. You give up run time, one liter of concentrate only goes so far, but you get thick shaving-cream foam and total control of the pattern.

From the Field
The most common foamer complaint at our counter is weak foam, and the fix is almost never a new foamer. Check three things in order. First, the steel wool pad. Once it packs down or rusts, foam quality falls off a cliff, and the pad costs less than a coffee. Second, the injector. A pitted check ball or tired spring kills the draw, and no draw means no soap to foam. Third, your hose length. Past 150 feet of pressure hose, friction loss can wipe out the pressure differential the venturi needs, so the injector stops pulling entirely. We stock the pads, the injectors, and the repair parts, which tells you everything about which parts actually fail.

Frequently Asked Questions
What actually makes a foam nozzle produce foam?
Agitation. The ST-75 style foamer forces the soap and water mix through a steel wool pad, and that turbulence whips air into the solution. When the pad wears out, the foam goes flat, so replace it a few times a season.
Which ST-75 orifice size fits my machine?
The orifice has to match your flow or the foamer will either starve the machine or fail to build pressure. Smaller orifices suit 4-5 GPM rigs and the 10.0 suits high-flow machines. Call us with your GPM and we will confirm before you order.
Can I foam through my existing downstream injector?
Yes. Add a foamer nozzle or a shooter tip on the wand and keep your injector where it is. The oversized orifice drops wand pressure, which is what lets the injector draw soap in the first place.
How high will an X-Jet reach?
The original narrow tip throws the mix around 40 feet, which covers most third-story gables from the ground. Adjustable versions trade some distance for a wider fan pattern.
Foam cannon or foamer nozzle, which should I buy?
Production washing favors the injector-fed foamer because it never runs out mid-wall. A bottle-fed cannon or lance is the right call for fleet washing and detailing where you want dense foam in short bursts.
Why did my foamer suddenly stop foaming?
Nine times out of ten it is a packed-down steel wool pad or an injector that quit drawing. Swap the pad first, then inspect the injector check ball and spring. Both fixes together cost under 20 dollars.
