Types of High-Pressure Hoses

Standard Rubber High-Pressure Hose

Most common type. Rated for 2,500 to 5,000 PSI. Good for general-purpose pressure washing. Less expensive than specialized hoses.

Thermoplastic High-Pressure Hose

Lightweight, flexible, and durable. Can handle extreme pressure (up to 6,000+ PSI). More expensive but lasts longer.

Stainless Steel Braided Hose

Steel-reinforced for maximum durability. Resists UV damage better. Used on trailer-mounted or commercial systems. Premium pricing.

Hot Water Rated Hose

Specialized construction to withstand 200+ degree water. Essential for hot water pressure washers.

Common Hose Problems

Complete Burst or Rupture

Over time cracks form in rubber. Eventually hose bursts during operation. A burst hose must be replaced immediately. Repair is not possible.

Small Leaks at Connection Points

Usually caused by loose fittings, damaged seals, or failed crimped connections. We tighten fittings or replace the connection fitting.

Pinhole Leaks

Indicate corrosion or manufacturing defect. Small leaks can be temporarily patched. A hose with pinhole leaks should be replaced.

Kinked or Crushed Hoses

Kinks restrict water flow. Crushed sections reduce flow. If small, we may repair. Severe kinks require replacement.

Connection tightening: $15-$45. Quick-connect fitting replacement: $20-$50. Temporary patch: $30-$60. Hose replacement (50 ft): $80-$250 depending on type. Custom hose assembly: call for quote.
