12V Speed Controller for Powered Reel Rewind
A rewind motor with one setting is a blunt instrument. It slams hose onto the drum, stacks it crooked and buries a bad wrap under 200 feet of line. This 12V speed controller is a variable speed rewind control, so you decide how fast the drum turns instead of taking whatever the motor gives you.

Dialing In the Rewind Speed
Go slow for the first few turns. Those wraps set the base layer against the drum, and if they lay crooked every layer above them will too.
Run mid speed through the middle of the load where the stack is still even, then back off again for the last stretch. The end of the wind is where hose climbs the flange and where a lazy operator creates the tangle that shows up on the next job. Mount the control somewhere you can work it with one hand while the other hand steers the hose, because a control you cannot reach ends up taped wide open.
