Schedule 40 304 stainless steel pipe nipples are short threaded pipe lengths, male on both ends, for chemical and wash-down plumbing where brass and plated steel corrode. Common on soft wash rigs, bleach and detergent lines, water tanks and coastal or salt-exposed equipment.
A Close nipple is threaded end to end with no bare shank - the shortest connection between two female ports. The 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" lengths give you standoff to clear a housing or reach a fitting.
Pick the pipe size, then the length.
