A double shut-off socket keeps your line from dumping every time you swap a tool. Valves in both halves of the coupling snap closed the moment you disconnect, so the hose stays charged and the fitting stays dry. Reconnect and the valves push open, and flow picks right back up.
This one is machined from steel with a zinc plated finish, so it holds up to hot water and wash-bay chemicals better than a raw steel fitting. Pick 1/2" FPT for main hose runs and manifolds, or 3/8" FPT for wands, guns, and shorter whips.

Thread it on with PTFE tape or pipe sealant and check the seat for grit before every connect. Grit in the valve is the number one reason a shut-off coupler starts to weep.
Pair it with a matching double shut-off plug and a length of pressure hose so both ends of the connection seal the same way.
