This is the direct-drive replacement pump for 5–7 HP gas pressure washers. It arrives assembled and ready to mount — you are not sourcing an injector, a thermal relief valve, a garden hose adapter, or an inlet screen separately. Bolt it to the engine, connect the chemical line, and run.

The 3/4" hollow F7 shaft slips straight onto a standard SAE J609a small-engine crankshaft, so this drops onto the machines contractors actually own: Predator 212cc and 224cc, Honda GX200, Briggs XR950, Kohler CH270. No coupler, no adapter plate, no pulley.

At 3,000 PSI the brass manifold is the right material call. Brass holds dimensional stability through pressure cycling, resists the corrosion that eats aluminum heads on well water and coastal jobs, and sheds heat during bypass. Ceramic pistons ride against the seals instead of grinding them. Aluminum connecting rods keep the crankcase light.

Installation and Maintenance Tips

Check the engine shaft before you mount anything. A scored or burred crankshaft will bind in the hollow shaft and you will never get the pump back off. Clean it, deburr it, and apply anti-seize to the shaft before assembly — this is the step people skip and regret two seasons later.

Torque the mounting bolts evenly in a cross pattern. Install the stainless inlet screen; running without it voids the point of having it. Never run the pump dry — prime it with water flowing and the trigger open before you start the engine.

Change the pump oil after the first 50 hours, then every 200 to 300 hours or once a season. Use non-detergent pump oil, never motor oil. Flush the chemical line with clean water after every soap application or the injector check ball will stick.

Do not let the machine sit in bypass. Even with thermal relief working correctly, extended bypass cooks seals. Trigger off, engine to idle, or shut it down.

When you hold the trigger closed, water recirculates inside the pump and heats up fast. Thermal relief dumps that hot water and pulls in cool supply water automatically, then closes again. Without it, hot water destroys seals. It is included on this pump.

Should I rebuild this pump or replace it?

Rebuild it. Seal kits, check valve kits, and injector parts cost a fraction of a new pump, and the crankcase and manifold last for years. Only replace the pump if the manifold or crankcase is cracked.
