Installation and Setup
Verify Thread Type and Size
MPT connects to FPT. Measure both the thread diameter and count threads per inch to confirm you have the right match before ordering.
Apply Thread Sealant
Use PTFE tape on male threads only - two wraps clockwise when facing the thread end. Never use tape on female threads.
Tighten to Spec
Hand-tighten first, then snug with a wrench. Over-tightening cracks brass fittings and strips threads. If it leaks, add tape - don't force it.
